1st Grade Field Trip

Today I went with my niece on her field trip for school. Her parents were unable to go so she asked me if I would come! We went to the Ogden Tree house. It was fun! It is definitely a lot different than when I was a kid. They have so many more things for the kids to do. They did a play, made crafts, and played with more things than you can imagine! Aspyn sure had fun! Thanks Aspyn for letting me come spend a few hours with you and your class!

Konnor Rylen Hill

same scuz face as his cousin Parker

Our newest nephew arrived today! Tiff went into labor this morning and had Konnor this afternoon. We were able to go and see him later in the day. He is so cute! I didn't think he really looked like his brother until McKenzie posted a picture of Keegan and Konnor right next to each other and you can definitely see the resemblance. I can't wait til Parker can see him. Congrats Sean and Tiff!

Christmas Cookies

Today we went to my parents house and made Christmas sugar cookies with my nieces and nephew. (Keegan fell asleep so he didn't make it) The kids had fun cutting out their cookies. After we baked them and let them cool we frosted them and decorated them with sprinkles and candy. YUM! They were delicious! After decorating the cookies my mom took us to see The Princess and the Frog. I thought it was a really cute movie! Thanks mom and dad for letting us make cookies at your house and for taking us to the movie!

2 months

Parker is two months old today! We took him to his check up appointment. He weighs 12 lbs 2 oz and is 23 1/4 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for his weight and 80th percentile for his height. He was so interested in everything at the doctor's office. He just kept moving his head back and forth from side to side trying to take everything in. He was so happy until he had to get his immunization shots. After the shots he didn't even want us to put him down to get him dressed. Watching your baby get shots has got to be the saddest thing in the world. It just broke my heart to watch him cry so hard! :(
His colic has gotten much better since I have reduced my intake of dairy products. When he does get fussy, I bought this thing called a Sleepy Wrap, and it works wonders. What it is is a carrier that puts him to sleep in minutes. I recommend it to any mother out there struggling with a colicky baby. It is one of the best investments I have ever made.
He is still sleeping in our bed, but my goal is to get him into his bassinet by the time I go back to work. We have to get a new crib because ours got recalled. :(
He is smiling so much now but he must be camera shy because whenever I grab the camera to get a picture of him smiling, he stops smiling and just stares. So sorry these are the best pictures I could get. One thing that always makes him smile is me grabbing his hands and pushing them against my cheeks. I don't know why he thinks it is so funny, but he does. He is most smiley when he gets his diaper changed, after eating, and first thing in the morning when he wakes up. He is least happy when he is getting dressed.
He is starting to talk a little. (babbling noises of course)
He is still sleeping 4-6 hours at a time at night and takes little naps during the day. He loves to sleep on his stomach, but due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) I only let him sleep on his stomach during the day when I can keep a close eye on him.
He is not a pacifier baby at all. If we want him to take a pacifier, we have to be holding it in his mouth.
He loves the bath and loves toys that make a crinkle noise.
He only poops about every three days but then it is usually a blow out which is not fun to clean up.
I love spending all day with him and I am dreading having to go back to work at the first of the year. I don't know how I am going to work 12 hours without seeing this cute boy! He is such a blessing in my life and love watching him grow each day.
We will be blessing him next month which is exciting so if anyone knows of a good place to get a blessing outfit let me know!

Grammy's 90th Birthday

Evan's Grandma Parrish turned 90 this year. We celebrated her birthday with a big party. This is the first time that Grammy has seen Parker. She was so cute. We had a hard time getting her to look at the camera to take a picture with him because she didn't want to take her eyes off of him! It was really fun seeing so many family members. Happy 90th Birthday Golda!

Temple Square

We went down to temple square with my family (minus Parker, Curtis, Sean, Tiff and Keegan). It was really fun but cold. We rode the front runner down. After walking around and seeing some of the lights we headed back home and went over to my parents house and just hung out, had hot chocolate, and chatted. Thanks for a great night everyone and thank you Mark and Julie for watching Parker!
